Recent Projects.
Extension Kitchen and internal alterations. (Jarrow) (May 15, 2006)
This project involves partial demolition of existing kitchen extension and rebuilding to current Building Regulations Standards. Removal of existing internal load bearing walls to make existing dinning room and kitchen as one.
Below is pic as existing. Where single door is we will be fitting steel lintels and removing walls which will lead into new kitchen area.
To the right of the kitchen extension you can see where we are fitting new lintels to fit french doors.
We have now removed all existing ceilings and dividing walls making the dinning room and kitchen as one. Here you can see the start of the ceiling being fitting with fire rate ceilnig boards, giving a 1/2 hour fire protection to the 1st floor.
If you look to the right you can see that we have now fitted the steel lintels and removed the walls leading into the kitchen area.
The roof has now been fitted to the kitche extension and soon all the external walls will be waterproof rendered.
Here we have cut out the existing chimney breast which at a later date our clients will be fitting a range cooker in.
Lintels have been fitted and we are now waiting to remove existing window, cut out wall and fit new french doors.
We have now removed the existing window and fitted new
french doors. Start of internal plastering.
Inside of this existing chimney opening, our client is fitting a new electric style fire.
Here you can see that we have left water feeds and waist in the middle of the floor. Our client is fitting a island kitchen consisting of sink and cupboards.
Also our client is fitting a new range oven inside the large kitchen chinmey opening which we have formed. This full area will be fitted out with a new kitchen which will cover the existing area of which the combi boiler is fitted.
Our client will be painting the external render once dry.
