Recent Projects.
New Driveway (December 07, 2009)
New Driveway.
This project was to lift existing drive and renew with RMC Beamish Gobble 60mm concrete set.
We have removed all existing drive surface and dug out all soils.
We have now excavated down to a good clay base which you can see is approximately 400mm below existing ground level.
The full area has now been brought back up to correct levels using recycles type 1 and certified crushed hardcore compacted using vibrating roller at regular levels.
Here you can see the border kerbs being laid and concreted in place ready for the laying of blocks.
Its very important to lay a good consolidated base for these types of drives which consist of a min of 225mm compacted hardcore on top of clay.
As you can see, we have now tiled over the step using natural quarry slate which needs to be grouted and sealed.
All works now completed.
