Mine Ventilation Shaft fill.

This is a commercial project.

Project:  Filling of old Mine Ventilation shaft.

We have excavated down to rock head using a 6 ton excavator.

Shaft has been filled with imported stone and made level above rock head

Steel reinforcement mesh laid in preperation for concrete pour.

  A 200mm pipe is inserted to form an access hole in future years.

A 6000x6000x300mm reinforced concrete raft has now been fitted over the shaft to prevent any future ground collapse.

This area will now be backfilled using all existing soils.

All imported materials has been transported through country side using 10 ton front tipping dumper truck..

All sub soil has been backfilled and compacted using the weight on the excavator and buckets.

All top soil has been re-laid and tracked in with grass seed.

All works completed.
